Halloween Party Ideas

Get inventive and mail your friends a Halloween-themed invite. Purchase orange and black stationary and customize your own Halloween note at home on your computer. For a finishing touch, close your invitation with a festive Halloween sticker. Get creative and add a bag of treat to your invite or make phone calls to your guests in a frightening voice! This will scare your friends and will get them energized for the huge event! If you don’t have the time to make your own invites, you can order Halloween-themed invitations online or you can stop by your area shop and pick them up there. Halloween is a very popular occasion so you shouldn’t have any troubles locating the perfect Halloween invite!

A witch isn’t quite as magical without her broom. If you have enough party room, prepare broom races for your witches-in-training.
You’ll either need a large room (think finished basement or living room with the furniture cleared to side) or if it is a nice, sunny autumn day, have your broom races on the grass.Be sure you have at least one broom per party guest. Fortunately, you probably have at least one or two in the house and you can purchase the rest at a dollar shop. You can even request that each witch BYOB… Bring Your Own Broom (but don’t forget to send it back home with her).

Betting Tells

Betting Tells Experienced poker online players look for tells from their opponents to pick up clues about what their poker online opponents are holding. Often the best time to spot a tell is when a player actually bets. There are some giveaway signs that many players make that can indicate they are bluffing or that they have the nuts. Many poker online players change their behavior when they are bluffing. A player who is typically animated may freeze and seem tense. This indicates fear and anxiety. This player probably doesn’t want to call. A player who assumes the frozen posture of a statue could be afraid. On the opposite spectrum of betting behavior is the player whose excitement makes them clumsy with their bets. Perhaps in a rush to push chips in, the player knocks over his chip stack with a shakey hand. This often indicates tension and anticipatory excitement. When you pick up this tell, fold unless you have a monster hand yourself. When a player makes an “insta” call - immediately calling any bet — it indicates the player is not afraid but eager to get into the pot and make it bigger. When you are playing face to face at a live table, take mental notes about how the other players act when they bet and look for small signs that reveal the presence of fear or confidence.

Lots of Money Needs Lots of Focus

When people talk about online poker grinding, they often talk about low stakes multitabling. The goal when playing like this is to accumulate wealth by getting a small amount of money from each poker table. As a result of the limited stakes available, the players do not really need to focus on each individual game. The demands are completely different for the online high stakes online poker player. A general rule of thumb for those who play with lots of money on the table is that you need to dedicate lots of focus to the game. The reasons why you should focus when there is money on the lie should be obvious, but it is worthwhile going over them again. First of all, do you really want to lose your hard earned cash due to inattention? It’s one thing to lose due to poor playing skills, but losing because you are not even putting in the effort is something else entirely. Secondly, you will not be able to improve your game if you do not pay attention to the game. All you will do if you are not focused is lose money. And at high stakes poker, you will lose a lot of money if you do not stay focused.

Loosen up to Play Live Games

Many of the poker online players these days have learned how to play online poker in casino online websites. If you are like these players, you learned how to play the basic card game among hard core card sharks. Online players are notorious for the fact that they really know the ins and outs of the game. These are the people who really study the game. Online casinos are your place to go if you want a well informed, educated poker game. The problem comes for many of these players when they try to make the transition to live casino games. The issue that you will have to face is that fact that live players did not learn to play in this same high achieving poker culture. Live players have not grown up in the online poker culture, so they do not play the same way you and I do. In a word, their game is much looser. If you try the aggressive style that you learn online, you won’t get anywhere in a live game. You need to loosen up and play to the overall style of a live brick and mortar game if you want to take home the pot. Learn to adapt to the new style, and you will be able to become a master of this kind of poker as well.

Khoom Fay Thai Lanterns to Rise

Thai Lanterns are traditionally addressed Khoom Fay, made from cut weave paper with a bamboo frame. A flaming pod bound to the lantern offers hot airThe gracefully climb up, and make a extraordinary spectacle, specially when released at regular intervals to form a chain of lighters rising into the sky. They are equally great by day or by nighttime. For Day releases I find that the coloured lanterns are more taking and the dark suits a brilliant white glowing Thai Lantern but that is just my own personal view.Without tearing the paper cautiously take out the Lantern. Ensure the lantern is not crinkled or hanging sideways and that it is full extensive.. Holding the height of the lantern is the better style to do this, rising it a few feet softly, then sharply dropping it. Air force will expand the unit.Have a assistant light the wick whilst you declare the lantern vertical. After a few seconds the lantern will feel lighter, then rise bit by bit. Just guide it and let it go by itself, do not attempt to throw it up into the air. Then stand back and relish.Experienced fireworks operators are whom these lanterns are intended for. Wear fire retardant clothing and gloves, and have on standby a bucket of H2O.

Punishing the Limper

Filed under: Games Playing, Online Casino, Web Of Fun — admin at 11:00 am on Monday, November 30, 2009

Limping into a pot is the most traditional sign of weakness in a preflop situation. Though sometimes poker players will use limping to disguise their big hands so that they can reraise later, often a player who is limping into a pot does so because he wants to cheaply see what will come out.

The expression ‘punish the limper,’ then, comes from the idea that the less you allow these types of poker players to enter the pot, the less likely they will (a) be within their comfort level and (b) win the hand.

Across the board, most hands that see a flop will not be improved by it. The odds are less in favor of complimenting a hand than they are in missing it completely. Raising limpers, especially in position, and making them pay to see those flops, then taking pots away from them when they have missed (and avoiding them when they hit) will in recursion eat away at their stack, and punish them for trying to come in with a hand you can clearly manipulate.

When players limp, especially weak poker online players, it is often profitable to raise them more often with hands that you might not, in the eventuality that you can beat down their missed hand, or make a hand even better and crush them with it.

Lights, Camera, Poker

If you have ever seen a high stakes online poker game going on in your local casino, you have probably noticed that a crowd inevitably forms whenever large amounts of money move hands. Originally the crowds were an organic phenomenon that simply formed when rumors rippled across the casino online floor of intense action. Then casinos realized that they had a gold mine on their hands. Televised poker has taken this concept to the extreme. Now the video poker watcher does not even have to go to the local casino. He can watch high stakes games from the comfort of his own home.

Televised poker shows have turned the traditional casino experience into a multimedia event. Poker is now commercialized and broadcast to the world as a form of entertainment. We have created pageantry out of poker.

How you feel about the lights, camera, and poker trend rests on whether you prefer your online poker traditional or commercialized. Wherever you stand on the issue, however, it is important to realize that television poker is not the same as casino poker. It is a completely different experience because you do not have the option of going in the game of watching from your couch. Television poker is a spectator sport, like football or basketball. Are you alright with sitting on the bench?

Get Your Sleep to Win the Pot

Filed under: Games Playing, Online Casino, Web Of Fun — admin at 2:56 pm on Thursday, November 5, 2009

poker is a game for the night owls. In the wee hours of the morning the casinos are chock full of players looking for the next great hand. They go to work at the poker tables when everyone else in the world lays their head on their pillow after a long day at work. With all this nocturnal activity, however, many poker players fail to get the requisite hours of sleep.

Sleep is often overlooked as one of the most important factors in a good casinopoker game. Let me explain. The most dangerous moment for a poker layer is when he goes on tilt. When you are on tilt, your game is out of your control and you are playing solely based on emotion. There have been studies that have found that sleepy players tend to go on tilt more because they lack the reasoning abilities to make good judgments. Getting our sleep can result in huge payoffs at the poker table because you will be able to avoid going on tilt. It is such a little thing that you can do to improve your game, but it will translate into real financial consequences. Go catch some zzzzz now if you want to catch the pot later.

Chinese Lantern or a UFO?

Chinese lantern looks to be the most likely perpetrator behind last week’s UFO video secret.Harborough singer Robin Maughan caught an object on movie over West ave park in the sky in Harborough on Monday last week. The write up featured last week in Harborough Mail, The office accepted a fair few calls by readers who had as well found the unidentified flying object. However, as with previous sightings relayed to the publication in 2007 and earlier this year, A chinese lantern is the likely and more believable reasonMichael Williams said he saw 2 people on Farndon Road near his house releasing a lantern In the same timeframe as the video shot by Mr Maughan.Barry Loakes, of Barnard Gardens, contacted the Mail to say he was pretty sure that the object in the sky was in truth a chinese lantern. The lanterns measure about 3 foot high and get into the sky in a similar way to a full size hot air balloon utilising a heat cell that occupies the balloon with hot air.Six lanterns released during a birthday bash at a home in Lubenham Hill, Harborough, in February 2007 caused a UFO stir This year earlier on it also happened when a Kettering Road resident set one off. However, Trevor Jones saw the latest UFO while he was walking his dog in the green and does not agree with the lantern hypothesis.Mr Jones, of Morris Road, related the object to a jellyfish and remembers seeing a similar object one month prior.Maddy Ward put up an alternative theory, when she viewed the video and supposed it appeared like a large space station in the evening sky..
